I am having trouble using kyma x on a windows 7 64 bit platform. It was working fine and today it is not responding to mouse clicks/selections properly. I am able to navigate around the software but cannot select items.

The program opens and initializes the capybara 320 I am using but the program is not working correctly. As I said, it was working before.

I have tried updating the software and re installing also with no change.
Please let me know if there is a known solution.

Can you please send an email to support@symbolicsound.com with all the changes and additions that have been made to your PC (both software and hardware) between the time it worked and the time it stopped working? What software have you installed, have you added any fonts, and/or what hardware have you added or changed?

Got it fixed. Thanks to Kurt for the info concerning turning off "Enable Graphics Acceleration" from within the Miscellaneous Preference in Kyma (select Preferences from the Edit menu).

This option is enabled by default, I think a corrupt OS update for my graphics card was (and still is) the culprit).

I thought I'd share the info just in case anyone else encountered the same problem.

Hi, I have troubles accessing Capybara from Windows 7 64-bit, looks like driver experiences some timeout and is turned off.

I sent email to support@symbolicsound.com where tried to describe as much details as possible, sorry if too much of them.

Is there possibility that additional 1394 controller (with another chip) could help?

Thanks!

Does your 1394 card use the TI or Lucent chipset?

biult-in is VIA,
external one I only plan to get and will try to take TI chip as I read it is preferable for music hardware.

Thanks to Kurt!

After several days of intensive correspondence and live experimenting , the problem was localized and eliminated!
Now Capybara and Flame are recognized by my Win7 installation.

Woohoo! Sounds are Sounds are Sounds are great.
