Author | Topic: MIDI clock off when sound stops |
cristian_vogel Member |
![]() ![]() ![]() I finally decided to start experimenting with external MIDI sequencers, and controlling/morphing from my own sequencers in Kyma - well, I just wondered if there was a way that the MIDI Clock Stop command could be sent when I STOP the Kyma sound that is running with Apple-K. As it is, the external machines keep running and I have to stop them always by hand when programming.. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() There isn't a way to do this at the moment. This begs the question: should it send MIDI clock Start when you play a Sound? Should it stop the clock when you pause it? IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() quote: it could be an nice option especially if you could have a setting to turn it off if needed. the opposite would also be really useful - to be able to send start stop continue messages to get the kyma sound to compile & play, were you considering implementing it as a global preference or a variable selection in specific sounds/prototypes where it was logical? ie analogue sequencer. could it be independent of other system realtime messages so you could still use the timing clock without the start stop continue messages? r IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() i think it should send clock pause when the space bar is pressed ( also pausing the Kyma sound ) and clock stop when apple-K is pressed. Then clock start on apple-R. IP: Logged |
