In the Multisample prototype, there is a "Loop" tick box. According to the fly-over, ticking the box will play any selected sample with the loop points embedded into that sample's header. However, it also loops sounds without loop points - for example, drum sounds, which loop at the sample start and end if no loop points have been added. Is there a way to selectively play looped files? In the "Wavestation-ish" Sound I've made, I have a folder containing many samples, some looped, some not, and I would like to only loop the samples in the folder that should indeed be looped and actually contain loop points created in various sample editors. I fear my only recourse may be to load up two Multisample prototypes - one with the loop box ticked, the other with the loop box untucked - and use a selectable sound to switch per step where needed. That might get a little processor-intesive... IP: Logged |

Hmmm. I tried the "Selectable Sound" method and that works with plenty of CPU to spare. Not bad. I'd still be interested to know if there is another way, but this works. IP: Logged |

Scot, there is currently no way to have some samples loop and others not. But as you discovered, the Multisample is not very processor intensive so having two of them going is a reasonable solution. IP: Logged |

Indeed. Or even four of them. Or, dare I try... eight? IP: Logged |
