![]() ![]() ![]() I've noticed with version 5.x that when a prototype placed in the Sound Editor window, it will often replace parts of my sound with it's own inputs. In particular, last night I decided to insert a FeedbackIn prototype to the end of a lengthy line of processing. When I did, all of my modules "upstream" of the insertion were replaced with the default input which comes with the FeedbackIn prototype. It required an inordinate number of mouse-clicks and copy/paste operations just to insert one prototype. Is there any way to prevent or override this? IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() FWIW, I have found the following technique to work. 1. Insert a Mixer at the point where you want your insertion to occur. 2. Add your new sound to the mixer input 3. Edit your new sound module and place your upstream sounds in its input, replacing its default sound. 4. Remove the mixer that you added in step 1, allowing it to be replaced with the new sound from step 2. - DM IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() BTW -- normally the situation you described shouldn't happen and my procedure isn't necessary. But I have noticed that a few of the "insertable" sounds don't have their replaceable inputs set. When you design your own sounds be sure to use the menu "Action/Set Replaceable Input" on the part you want replaced. Then you can just drag and drop into a sound scheme. - DM IP: Logged |
