All: The first New York Area Kyma Users Group meeting will be held Saturday, April 22, 2006, from 4 to 7 PM, in Room 303 of the NYU Education Building at 35 West 4th St, New York, NY 10012 USA!

Thanks to Joel Chadabe and NYU, we have a space with seating for 100, with a stereo audio system, video projection, a Macintosh PowerBook with a MOTU Traveler audio interface and a 10-processor Kyma system. The meeting is open to Kyma owners, users and students at all levels of experience, as well as any and all musicians interested in learning more about the Kyma System.

Please bring materials so you can contribute to the meetings - recordings, Sounds, Timelines, experiments, or anything that uses the Kyma. We can accept audio or data CDs, data and video DVDs, and USB or FireWire drives. And please be prepared to explain and discuss your work for the greater knowledge of all.

For this first meeting, I'll be bringing a custom Haken Audio Continuum and demoing and performing with this fascinating new controller, and perhaps performing some other new Kyma works as well. I encourage all interested parties to join us for what we hope will be a continuing exploration of the wonderful world of Kyma. Thanks.
