![]() ![]() ![]() it would be very handy to have a "record on the fly" object. a maybe simple solution would be to save the contents of a memoryWriter onto the hard disk. is this possible and i donīt know it? the other thing would be to reprogramm the record tool, so that it can be used like an ordinary objekt. then everything would be fine:-) michael IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() I agree. It would be very nice if there was a way to capture the audio out back to a disk file without having to stop what you're doing. I often find myself "noodling about" with a sound - changing parameters, input sounds and so on - then the "magic" happens and a wonderful sound burbles forth. But if I want to capture that sound... well, better have tape in the DAT machine. You would probably need to designate a scratch disk & file name, and perhaps even enable the function before compiling (how many channels, file format, etc.), but then a keystroke should start and stop the recording process. It may add some DSP overhead when enabled, but it would be worth it if I could capture some of those special moments. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() And another big Yes from me. Iīve been missing this feature for a while. Sometimes the magic occurs out of nothing, and you havenīt added the necessary DiskRecorder object. Using the record tool doesnīt always do the trick, because you canīt do anything with the VCS etc. /Øivind/ IP: Logged |
