![]() ![]() ![]() Hi, I have some uncertainty about Tutorial 1, namely that since the Sounds in that tutorial do not match those in the actual Sound from the browser I am missing something that has prevented me from playing the modified version polyphonically. The Sound that I copied and renamed Mysaws appears to correlate with the Delayedsaws Sound in the manual. However, that Sound does not contain a trigger parameter, so that it begins playback after compliling. The Ch 1 module, which appears to correlate to the MIDIVoice of the manual, does not sound notes after I compile at that point in the flow chart and try to trigger from the keyboard. What have I missed here? Also, stepping back a bit in the manual, I need an explanation on the directions at the bottom of p55 on pasting of the chain into the Frequency field; I got no further than typing the data into the Constant, and was lost by the time I was asked to "paste the chain" into the Ocillator's frequency field. Thanks, Bob IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Hi Bob, I think I *might* see the source of confusion here. The Tutorials refer to the Sound files in the the Examples 4.5 folder. The file called "analog" has the DelayedSaws Sound in it (including a MIDI trigger). To find the MIDIVoice prototype, use ctrl-b and enter "MIDIV" or some subpart of the name and it will find it for you. Hope this helps. Have fun! IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() I'm not in front of my rig at the moment, but I believe that is where I took the RomeTaxiRadio (or is it RomeRadioTaxi?) example. I will recheck later. Assuming it is the same, I should note that I spent some time this morning going over the example, and there are significant differences between the printed flow chart/descriptions and the actual modules in the analog example. I love the analog sound, however, and can see myself using it soon, so I hope to work toward a usable Sound. Bob IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Is there a limit to public displays of blockheadedness on the Kyma Support Forum? If so, I may already be dipping too far into my reserves. I found the Delayed Saws Sound in the folder, as described, and it does nicely match the text in the tutorial. I had been thinking that I was supposed to be dissecting the Rome RadioTaxi example from the same folder, which is discussed right above the dissection text. Hence, my confusion. So, I've taken a relatively clean eraser to the margins of the tutorial, leaving behind the traces of my incomprehension. Bob IP: Logged |
