![]() ![]() ![]() Kyma just crashed. And the sound of the Pacarana kept running! Thats just great, really. I dont know if this is normal behavior, to be honest. I dont know if the sound keeps running when i quit kyma. I just thought of my nord modular wich is the most stable digital thing i have ever seen, the editor crashes sometimes, but sound keeps going, and one can just reopen the editor. My question is, is it possible to open kyma after a crash, and not initialise the DSP? Maybe even keep on working where one was before?(i could emagine that this is not possible because the sound on the pacarana is compiled already..) And, is it noraml that the sound keeps going in case of kyma crash or quitting? Since this would save CPU and ram in performance situations to quit kymna after compiling. Also this would of course make Paca(rana) more independent of computer errors. Thanks a lot! IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() If you can recall any details that led up to Kyma crashing, please send an email to symsound@symbolicsound.com so that we can correct the problem right away. It is possible to quit Kyma and have the Sound continue playing, as long as it does not play samples directly from the disk using a DiskPlayer or a GenericSource set to Disk. The option that controls this is in the Miscellaneous Preferences. IP: Logged |
