I was wondering whether anyone else finds the Sound Browser a little awkward to use? I was thinking today that some kind of tabs system might be useful, with say three or four locations that can be preset. Having three or four Sound Browsers up and running just takes up too much screen space imho! And getting from one drive to another, from one folder within a drive to another, is a little long-winded...

Would something like what I suggested be viable?

Jack

Best place to post workflow efficiency suggestions is on the tweaky at

(Forum threads are bit too ephemeral for wish-list items! :-))

Thanks!

On the topic of the sound browser, I've noticed that when I spawn a sub-browser and then do a refresh, the browser gets all messed up, and instead of showing the folder for which I spawned it, it goes to the user account in my computer (this also happens when I first launch kyma with any sub-browsers left open from the previous session). This is annoying because I don't keep my sounds in my user account but rather in a different partition, which doesn't even appear on the browser at that point. So I have to close all the sub-browsers and open new ones. It is also a problem when you move files through the finder (as you can't do that from the sound browser) and then want to refresh your sub-browser window. Is there any reason for this behavior, or is it a bug? I would much prefer it if I could leave all my messy sub-browsers open at the end of a session and would find them just like that when I start kyma next time.

Hector's bug has been fixed in Kyma X.36, now up on the tweaky.
