Author | Topic: MIDI malfunction... |

![]() ![]() ![]() I am using a MIDI controller to control some VCS widgets. I have mapped a number of controller numbers (on channel 1) to manipulate VCS toggles and faders. If I unlock the VCS and select a widget, I can see the correct mapping under Chan / Controller. The interface works fine... The malfunction is occurring when I manually alter VCS objects using the mouse. When I inspect the MIDI values created by those alterations (in Max/MSP or MIDI Monitor), instead of seeing the same channel/controller number information as specified by my mapping, the VCS is actually sending MIDI on channel 3, and the controller numbers do not correspond. What could be wrong?! Jack IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Are you using a MIDIOutputController Sound to send the MIDI out? If so, then you have to change the channel and controller number in that Sound, not in the VCS. (The VCS mapping refers to MIDI input only) IP: Logged |
