![]() ![]() ![]() how could a back and forth loop be implemented in a sample? IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() You could use a Waveshaper with the ShapingFunction set to your sample file. For the input, use a ScaleAndOffset applied to an Oscillator (using Triangle as the Wavetable). The Scale parameter will control the size of the loop, the Offset parameter will control the center of the loop within the sample file, and the frequency of the Oscillator will control the repetition rate of the loop. ![]() ![]() ![]() wow. it would be good to have this as an example sound, or expression set, because its opens a lot of alternative ideas for using Function Generators , Oscillators and Waveshaping to index and manipulate audio samples

![]() ![]() ![]() What about just using a triangle - or are you asking for a log. rate of reading? IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() In this case, the triangle function is interpreted as the phase or the index into the wavetable. The Waveshaper has a sample in the ShapingFunction (it's not being used to warp the Triangle to logspace...at least not in this case) [This message has been edited by SSC (edited 12 July 2006).] IP: Logged |
