sorry if this has been covered.. but, when is Kyma X due?

does X mean it will be OSX compatible? and, will there be new features besides OSX compatibility (if this is indeed what the X means) or is it a simple port from OS9 to X.. ?

not asking for any secrets just some basic info... thanks!

Soon! (approx one month but we hope even sooner)

>does X mean it will be OSX compatible?

Yes! Also Win XP compatible (two Xs are better than one)

>and, will there be new features besides OSX compatibility

Yes (but that part we prefer to leave as a surprise). A little mystery is important in life...

I'm wondering if Kyma will be available as an 'Audio Unit' within OSX.... So that any application running on OSX would have access to the processing abilities of Kyma.

If several Kyma 'Audio Unit's could be run at once - that would be very interesting I think... So in Logic Audio for example, I could for instance use Kyma for external processing and perhaps even external instruments too - all controllable via the sequencer..... Mmmm!

Sweet Dreams

Andrew

Not in the initial release but that is in the plan for a future release.

The ability to use Kyma/Capybara as an audio unit component from within Mac OS X will be extremely helpful, indeed :-)
