hi all at ssc,
so I'm sure that you are getting bored of "when is X due" messages so I shall not repeat what has been asked before!

But I went through the previous messages with info on Kyma X and people have mentioned DVD tutorials etc etc. Can SSC confirm whether the updated KYMA X software will be a free or chargeable update?

I personally cannot wait )))

Thanks

Dave mK

The price has not yet been determined (but we don't expect it to be too much different from the price of the previous major revisions).

For those of us that are new enough to Kyma, and who have not been through a previous 'major' revision, what has been the price for such an update in the past?

Rgds,

Eddy

They have been in the range of $150-$200.

...
How will the new features of Kyma X interact with the Capybara-66 (fully loaded)? Will there be any point in upgrading for 66-users, other than running the thing on OSX ($150-200 seems a bit much to pay for only one feature)?

Also, any hardware upgrade offers in connection with Kyma X?

BTW:
Will the X-Version run natively or will the version emulate an 68000 CPU even on dual GHZ macs. I understand that this is the reason for the dreadfull speed in OS9.x.

cheers,

Frank.

Yes, of course it is native (that's part of the reason this has been such a major undertaking)!
