![]() ![]() ![]() When in 256 or Thousand colour mode on a Mac (OS 9.2.2 / Kyma 5.26) I get a 'Error:a primitive has failed' error when trying to move sounds within the timeline. If I switch to millions of colours then sounds can be moved without problem. ... only discovered this since I was switched into 256 colour mode for Spectral Analysis. (Hopefully the 256 colour limit will be resolved in the X version.) Also - the timeline window controls get corrupted when working in either 256 or thousands of colours mode. Andrew IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Which model of Macintosh are you using? (Kyma X works with any color depth, but works best with millions of colors.) IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() I use a dual 500Mhz G4 - I'll check for this behaviour on my PowerBook too. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() I looked some more into this problem and found that if I started up the computer in 256/thousands colours mode or switched the mode before starting Kyma then sounds could be moved within the timeline ok (in all colour modes) - the problem occurs if the colour mode is changed whilst Kyma is running. Kyma really doesn't like the mode change.... it crashed when I changed back to the millions of colours mode and then moved a sound in the timeline. At least there seems to be a work around to the problem. Andrew IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Yes, it is the case that you cannot change color depth or screen dimensions while Kyma.5 is running. (and yes you *can* do so in Kyma X) [This message has been edited by SSC (edited 08 June 2003).] IP: Logged |
