![]() ![]() ![]() Dear people, I am playing 4 DiskPlayers, 4 different files, simultaneously at 4 times normal rate (through firewire interface) and experiencing system freezes after playing (without a glitch) and then stopping the Sound, hitting the filename browser button and selecting a file, and also, less surprising, when pushing the rate scale up too high (around 6 if I remember correctly). Maybe there is some kind of a security routine needed? Thanks, David. [This message has been edited by dgkiers (edited 05 June 2003).] IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() On the Mac, it could end up spending so much time servicing the disk routines that it appears to freeze (but has actually just slowed down so much that it looks frozen). This is handled differently in Kyma X so once Kyma X is released, you should no longer experience this. (When you play disk tracks at 4x the rate, it is like playing 4x the number of disk tracks).
