1. Intel Mac running OSX 10.5.8 or 10.6.x; G5 Mac running OSX 10.5.8. Note that this Mac need not be the same one with a FireWire connection to your Capybara (where you run Kyma). So for example if you normally use an up-to-date Windows system for Kyma but have an older Mac lying about you can use that Mac.

2. Processing and memory requirements are modest so older Intel or G5 Macs should work fine. Part of our internal tests use a seven year old 2GHz G5 PowerMac.

3. A USB MIDI or other MIDI port to connect the Mac to the Capybara. This port must offer both inputs and outputs.

4. The Mac must be connected to the same WiFi network that you wish to connect the iPhone/iPod Touch, or iPad. If the Mac has a built-in Airport you can use that to set up a "Computer to Computer" (ad-hoc) WiFi network instead.

5. An iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad with vKi, vKi lite, or vKiP installed. Note that if you are cautious and wish to "try before you buy" download vKi lite from the App Store and use that to evaluate. vKi lite works fine on iPads as well.
