Author | Topic: Spacebar errors in parameter fields |
dan.dan Member |
![]() ![]() ![]() When entering formulas into parameter fields, I get parse errors when I press the spacebar. For example, if I wanted to enter something like: !BPM * 2 As soon as I pressed the spacebar after the * there would be a "bell" and an error that an argument was missing, presumably the argument to the * message. Is there some way to turn off that behavior? It's pretty distracting. Thanks, IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() It could be that the keyboard modifier keys are being stuck "on" (this was a problem introduced by Apple with the 10.3.4 release). The next time this happens, please try pressing and releasing the Option key, and see if the problem goes away. If it does not, try the Command key next. If it is still a problem, try the Control key. Please let us know which key takes care of the problem so that we can fix this for the next update. Thanks! IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Well, it seems to just be my bad habit of holding down the shift key while pressing the spacebar. I guess I got used to the fact that it makes no difference in other programs that I use for writing code. I'll just have to be more careful. Thanks! IP: Logged |
