Hi -

While I'm in a forum-posting mood...

Would it be possible to have the "Record to Disk" menu option allow the VCS to open? I've noticed that any faders that are assigned in the VCS will function while recording in this manner, but the VCS doesn't open, so you can't see what you're doing.

thanks,
Phil

Yes that would be helpful. It's on the list.

second that , an incredibly important feature i think - if its a live system it should be recordable with live changes - if i want to record a performance to disk i have to faff around with routing to another recording app like peak or something worse.

would reather capture a vibe straight to disk as audio instead of timeline automation

as a temporary workaround, put a DISK RECORDER prototype at the very end of your chain.... then compiling, and playing the sound prompts you to pick a location to save your disk recording.. and then the VCS opens up so you can move sliders while it records....

it's an extra step.. and i often only add the disk recorder prototype temporarily, because i don't want it to happen every time i open the Sound..

Thanks Taylor, I had forgotten about the Disk Recorder object.

Of course, there's always the case when you're just below getting out of time messages and recording pushes you over the edge, but I suppose it's the same with recording with the menu item in that case - either way, you have to record outside of Kyma.
