Here is a tidbit about saving timeline files. I had just saved a completed timeline. I attempted to close the completed and saved timeline and kyma prompted me to save the file again!@@!??

After a conversation with kurt, he pointed out the vcs portion of the time line file does not know that it has been saved with the timeline and this is the reason kyma prompts to be saved again. I mistakenly thought that kyma was prompting me to save the alterations to the sound files that existed within that timeline (which i did not want to do). Kurt also informed me that kyma, in fact, makes a copy of the soundfile that you copy into to timeline and saves those instructions with the timeline file - also something that I wasn't entirely clear on.

thanks kurt!
