![]() ![]() ![]() In the preferences, I have set Pen Button 1 to send !PenButton1. If the pen is slightly above the tablet and I press Pen Button 1, it causes both !PenButton1 = 1 and !PenZ = 1. If the pen is actually touching the tablet and I press Pen Button 1, !PenZ is unaffected. Is this correct behavior? IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Bill, is this on Graphire or Intuos? Thanks. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() It's an Intuos 3. I don't remember noticing this before, but I haven't used the buttons much. I'll try to reproduce it when I get back to the studio. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Could you check the continuous pressure reading in the System Preferences for the Tablet? We tried this out here and were not able to replicate it. It's possible that your pen is broken (i.e. the pressure sensing is not working). [This message has been edited by SSC (edited 11 October 2005).] IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() I found the problem - in the System Preferences, I had changed the action for Button 1 from the default (Right Click) to just "Click". In addition to causing !PenZ=1, pressing Button 1 also allowed all the other pen parameters to work with the tip of the pen about 1/2 inch above the tablet! Possibly a useful behavior to someone...
