![]() ![]() ![]() For Kyma users, are there any known problems associated with a move to Lion, Apple's new OS? I'm considering getting a new computer. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() We've just installed it to begin testing. (We advise that you wait for confirmation of the tests before throwing Kyma to Lion). Thanks! IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() I don't even know enough of the technical issues to know if changes in the OS would affect compatibility for the D/A interface used by Paca(rana). Apogee Duet, for example doesn't appear to be compatible with 10.7 yet (projected to be so by August), but that may be irrelevant if it's going to be used exclusively by Paca(rana). In case it's helpful, Sweetwater just posted this page. http://www.sweetwater.com/sweetcare/ts/detail.php?Index=33622 IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() If you are using the converter exclusively for the Paca(rana), then Lion is not an issue. (If you want to use the converter on either Mac or Paca(rana), then it is likely to need a new driver for Lion). IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() On the subject of converters, what is the latest development with running audio i/o straight over firewire rather than the extra stage? I remember this was being discussed a while back. Just wondering as I am changing about my studio soon and am considering upgrading the converter currently dedicated to the Pacarana. If plug-in style support is coming, I can hold off and save a bit. Thanks IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() is this likely? IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() We still recommend using a converter for the lowest latency performance. IP: Logged |
