Hello,

I haven't seen a post about this earlier, so here is what looks like a bug :

When dragging a protoype from the bar to another already wired protype in the sound window, a prompt is shown asking if the user would like to
1. replace the prototype, thus conserving the input (by substituting the default input of the new prototype and wiring it to the existing path) or ...
2. "replace-all", ie loose the existing wiring path, and conserving the new prototype's defined inputs.

If the user chooses the first alternative, then the result is not what is expected : the default input is not subsituted. The problem arises only with some protoype. For example, I had the problem with RMSSquared and AmplitudeFollower. I did not have the problem with VCF.

If the user chooses the second alternative, the result is correct.

To reproduce this issue, open the Sound file and double click on the Sound Effects-EUverb. Drag RMSSquared over the Effects-EUverb module and answer "replace". Instead of having an RMSSquared module showing up, you only have an Attenuator.

Now, revert the changes, and drag a BPF2-3k over the EUverb icon, answer "replace". The correct behaviour occurs.

If you revert again the changes and drag an Euverb Stereo prototype over the EUverb module, the prompt is different ; the user doesn't have the choice between "replace" and "replace-all". Can someone explain this ?

Best Regards,
Camille

Hello,

Can someone please tell me if this problem can be reproduced on your side too?

Many thanks!

Fixed! (you will see it in the next update).

When you drag/drop onto a module, there was one missing case: what to do when both the old and the new Sounds have replaceable inputs. It should replace the *old* replaceableInput with the *new* replaceableInput.

It's fixed now. Thanks for your clear statement of the problem (and the examples)--very helpful in tracking this down!
