![]() ![]() ![]() Hi everybody. Ok the following setup: A timeline in which in one track there's a very long lasting sound, thus a long bar, lets say a sum compressor and eq for all other tracks. In another track there are plenty of small short lasting sounds. Before each is a marker with a programchange number assigned. So now if i send those programchanges im always getting a short interruption in the "master" sound sum compressor or whatever. Anyways, in a track in whick no change at all should occur. Is this normal behaviour(Cant imagine this would be really sad)? Am i doing anything wrong? thanks a lot! patrik IP: Logged

![]() ![]() ![]() When you jump to a different time, there could be a discontinuity in the longer Sound (especially if it is processing the other tracks). IP: Logged

![]() ![]() ![]() but actually i didn't route any track into this "master" track internally.. all analogue outside of kyma, so it shouldn't know about that..(i hope so, altough this is some unbelieveable system) ok but thanks for the answer this at least means it should work(right?), and i'll have a look again!! so now i've tried to find any automation discontinuities, but i couldn't find any. Maybe i misunderstood what you ment with "discontinuities" how could i avoid them in a patch that processes other sounds?? Here is a very simple example patch, there is one synthesizer, which needs to be triggered externally on chan 1. If i jump between the two locators by programchange, there is always an interruption. Of course it doesnt even make much sense here to jump around since nothing changes, but it shows what i mean. I would really need help here, please. This possibility would encourage my approach of working very much. Oddly enough, i even seem to get different interruptions between the two jumps. When i jump from locator 2 to locator 1, the interruption seem longer(than the other way around), and even the delay memories seem to be zeroed?? Thanks a lot for any help!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() Beautiful synth by the way. If you wait for the reverb to die away before jumping, that should help. IP: Logged

![]() ![]() ![]() thanks!! Do i understand correctly that in case of a jump in the timeline, memories(Delays, reverbs, Memorywriters?) are a problem? That would be sad. Are there any plans to change this? Thanks a lot! Patrik IP: Logged

![]() ![]() ![]() There is no way to specify in the Timeline that some Sounds should jump to a new time and state, while others should not. When you jump to a new marker, all Sound states change; Kyma mutes the output during the state change to avoid discontinuities which would sound like clicks. IP: Logged

![]() ![]() ![]() thats a real pitty since it makes it impossible to use a non-linear timiline with smooth transitions(tell me if thats a misunderstanding). Thanks for the explanation though! IP: Logged |
