Hi,

I would like to loop a spectral sound. Because I want to do this in a
smooth and flexibel way, the SumOfSines module alone is a little-bit insufficient for this (you can't specify a crossfade between loop end
and start for example). But you could realize this with two SOS modules,
Pulse-triggers and a crossfade module. Then you create an illusion of a
loop by constantly alternating between two SOS.
Even better would be to crossfade the spectra only first and then feed that into an oscillator bank. First I thought of the SpectrumInRam module to realize this. But this module has no gate or trigger field.
Would it be possible to integrate that feature into the SpectrumInRam
module or is there any other solution to this issue (additionally to the
SOS-approach)?

Best, Florian

The SpectrumInRAM module has a time index parameter, so you would put the trigger into that Sound. I think you could get an idea of what to do by:

1. Put fixed values (not hot) into all of the fields of the SumOfSines.
2. Select the SumOfSines and choose Expand from the Action menu.

The result should be a group of Sounds that implements the SumOfSines. In there, you should see a Sample (I think) being used as the time index in the SpectrumInRAM Sound.

Ah...ok, obviously was distracted by the fact that some sounds have a
seperate gate/trigger-field and some not.
