Having heard a radio program about bio feedback and learning to control brainwaves I'm wondering whether it's possible to employ Kyma to this end using its filters etc. Is this theoretically possible or are the frequencies too low for the capy?

What form does the output of your brainwave sensor take? Is it voltage variation? You may be able to convert that to MIDI (using a PC-1600 for example) and use it as a *control* rather than directly as an audio signal. For example you could control the cutoff of a low pass filter on noise.

I haven't got a sensor yet. I was thinking about making my own and pre-amplifying it ready to send into Kyma where I could apply bandpass filters to sort out the various brainwave types but this wouldn't work unless the Capy will accept waves at 4-12CPS.

The Capybara-320 A/D converters low frequency -3.0 dB point is 1.8 hz at a 48 khz sample rate (1.65 hz at 44.1 khz).
