Hi Again,
Today's problem for me is getting a Kyma timeline slaved to my Digital Performer sequencer. I have set the external time code setting to Time Code mode, but when I press the space bar, the cursor advances to the ninth tick of the first bar (1*1*9), and goes no further.
And while the track seems to play the sound in the timeline, there is a related problem: shortening the sound to 1 measure and adding another sound to the second measure of the same track does not have any effect--the original sound is played, even after it should have ended, replaced by the second sound. (Deleting the original sound and advancing the second sound to the beginning of the first measure at least accomplishes a replacement.)
In addition, I have not gotten automated track controls to effect the sounds, although I put that in automated mode and drew points that should have changed parameters.
A related question/problem is why a sound that seems to have sufficient resource headroom when I compile as a stand-alone sound has exceeded my basic Capybara 320 DSP capacity when compiling in the timeline.
Thanks in advance for any advice on these matters.
Bob

Bob, does this happen when the sequencer is running or stopped? If Kyma is not getting time code, it would run a little beyond where the current time is and stop. To see whether Kyma is receiving the timecode, look at the upper right of the DSP Status to see whether the timecode is incrementing.

If you verify that Kyma *is* receiving time code, check to see whether your sequencer has a time offset in the time code. In other words, if you are not starting at 0:0:0.0. You can set an offset in the Kyma timeline to compensate for this.

The track controls are for position and level only. Use the parameter controls to automate the Sound parameters.

A timeline is a Mixer with attenators and panners and internal routing. These operations do take up some DSP computation. So it is reasonable for a Timeline to take more computation time than a standalone Sound when played outside of a timeline.
