![]() ![]() ![]() Hi, I have few simple questions about the concepts behind Kyma and would be grateful if someone could explain What are microsounds ? Ive just checked out the new Looper Construction Kit site and was wondering are these tools made from standard kyma componants or custom written? Ok thats it for now as its a bit late and Ive forgotten what else I wanted to ask ! Thanks in advance, Matt IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() They're custom written prototypes that load when you run the Kyma software. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Microsounds are not constructed out of other Kyma components. They are written in the assembly language of the DSP and appear as User-defined Classes inside Kyma. (The basic Kyma system modules, i.e. the ones that cannot be further expanded, are also "microsounds") BTW, The mastering Sound modules that David McClain has so generously shared with all of us on the forum, include several microsounds that he has written himself using the DSP assembly language. ![]() ![]() ![]() This raises a question - if I get the Looper Construction Kit, can I also use David's microsounds? Seems like I can only load a single microsounds file. IP: Logged |
