![]() ![]() ![]() I am unpicking the mysteries of the timeline. I am starting to use more complex routing now between sounds and tracks. I am finding it difficult to keep the master outputs from red-lining. I keep adjusting the Level_Trk and making use of the fade in/out, however where I have multiple sources feeding inputs I do find it difficult to keep track of the summed levels. My closest point of reference would be within a daw or a physical mixer where you would have the ability to solo sections, or view relative levels via some means of visual metering/clip lights. Obviously I do try to keep in mind that two equal signals mixed together would double in level, however when adding distortions etc things tend to get a bit wild. Perhaps I should build more dynamic control into each sound, so that they mix in a slightly more co-operative manner... Does anyone have any strategies for mixing larger numbers of sounds at once? I guess if I am allowed to fantasise for second...... But yes, this will all have processor overhead implications, but don't worry you can switch it off! And choose levels of accuracy! Or I could just bounce out the parts and mix in a DAW... Doesn't quite help my 10 repligator detune bass experiment where I have one source track of detuning oscillators, and a variety of processing tracks all slowly building up. Quite terrifying. All the best. Charlie IP: Logged |
