![]() ![]() ![]() Has anyone seen this new reaktor instrument from Twisted Tools? http://twistedtools.com/shop/reaktor/s-layer/ Looks cool, but I don't have reaktor and I don't really have the desire to purchase. Was thinking I might try to program something similar in Kyma. It would be a good learning experience I think. Anyone have any tips on where to start? Thanks. IP: Logged

![]() ![]() ![]() Having a bit of a read.. "Each time you play a note on your MIDI keyboard or hit the Trig button, up to eight samples from the sample map will be played back simultaneously. You can randomize or specify which samples play back and then edit each of the layers independently using sliders and toggle controls. Time-tested sound design techniques such as reversing, pitching, modulating and mixing sounds together can be quickly achieved by randomizing and fine-tuning with sliders and knobs. In addition to the on-board granular, filter and time-based effects, you can also connect your own effects using the insert/send system or by using the direct outputs. Once you’ve found a sound combination that you like, you can store it on-the-fly in one of eight ‘Scenes’ which can be dynamically played backed and controlled using MIDI." I don't think there is anything that can't be achieved, the question would be how much of each element you are realistically going to use at one time. I will ponder on....... Charlie IP: Logged

![]() ![]() ![]() Ok, I've run into my first issue. The Multisample Prototype doesn't allow you to adjust the Start point of each sample. I thought maybe I could play the multisample into a MemoryWriter and adjust the sample start from there but it doesn't seem to work. Does anybody have any ideas? I'm pretty new at Kyma so my apologies if this is a newbie question. IP: Logged

![]() ![]() ![]() Is there a script you could use to load 8 random audio files from a folder into the 8 different sample prototypes? That would be cool. I'd also like to figure out a way to randomize different sets of faders while still allowing them to be controllable for tweaking. IP: Logged

![]() ![]() ![]() might be fun to load of bunch different samples tuned to a pentatonic scale and use the built in sequences to scan through them IP: Logged

![]() ![]() ![]() I'm looking for a way to randomize a group of Hot Values while still allowing control of the individual parameters. Any suggestions on a way to do that? IP: Logged

![]() ![]() ![]() Quick question: I am using a mulitsample object to load different samples according to the index into a MemoryWriter. So far I have just been using a Trigger button to play the sound and record in the MemoryWriter. Is there a capytalk expression to trigger a 1 and then return to 0 whenever the value of index is changed so whenever I change samples it is automatically recorded into my memorywriter? Thanks to anyone that can help! IP: Logged

![]() ![]() ![]() Ok, I think I got it: !Index hasChangedInLast: 0.3 s in the 2 trigger fields. Thanks to Federico Placidi for the tip! IP: Logged

Could someone take a look at this and tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks! IP: Logged

![]() ![]() ![]() We tried these things and it seems to be working more in the way you had in mind: * Since Kyma will not connect up renamed key events to the keyboard input, please put !KeyDown in the DoNotChange field of the Replicator. * In the VCS, move the AmpLow value up to a larger value, right click that fader, and choose "Save in all presets" IP: Logged |
