Hi!
when I play this piece in Kyma, it makes cracks, but when I play it in some other audio editor/player, no cracks are audible ...
thanx

In the Wave editor, I heard a click at the beginning. (File Play did not have the click). Looking at the code revealed that it was not muting during the rewind and play operation. Adding the mute eliminated that initial snap sound. This will be in the next release.

Thank you for pointing this out!

on second thought, I hear more clicks then just one at the beginning ...
anyway, here are some examples, one played with Audition is clean, but both from Kyma have clicks
so far, I noticed clicks just in this trumpet sample

hope it helps

thanx

How do you have the clock source set on your audio interface? Which audio interface are you using?

(I don't hear any clicks in the file when I play it on my setup).

Pacarana - m.audio fast track pro - spdif to rme fireface 400
everything is as it was all this years ... and so far no problem whatsoever
first clicks appeared with this trumpet piece, and only on it!
maybe Kyma does not like my friend’s performance

Do you hear the clicks when you listen to FastTrack Pro headphone outputs?

(am certain that Kyma loves your friend's performance

yes, it appears that something is wrong with spdif connection or one of the audio processors!
first, today there was no clicks at all,
although sample sounded somewhat distorted
but
trough earphones (as you suggested), it sounded clean
then clicks reappeared ...
but through earphones sound remained clean

why only this sample makes problems....
muted version does not make clicks + tried with some other trumpet takes
(Kontakt samples), and no clicks!

any suggestions?

thanx

and while we are at it, a question:
when something is recorded/compiled inside Kyma (not incoming signal, but something like synthesis or fx processing of imported audio files), does Pacarana use external audio processor for that?
or, does quality of sounds “made in Kyma” depend on quality of audio processor one uses to listen/record to K ...
thanx again

It is computed in Kyma and written to the storage device, so no it does not depend on the audio interface. In fact, you can select Silent Device and then record to disk.
