![]() ![]() ![]() I am reviewing the parameter tranform example from the big book - kyma 4.5 and i have encountered two unusual problems, both having to do with the snd frequency command. it does not supply the sample prototypes with a transformed freq parameter. I have double / triple checked the syntax from the examples on pg 202 ( there are three examples and I attempted all three ) and none of the samples being played back would play back with a different frequency from the default frequency. part two of the problem - I attempted to rewrite the previous example on pg 201 (which had worked fine in previous session) and now kyma pops up the message "frequency"is an undeclared variable ... ?? has any thing changed for this prototype in the new version or have i overlooked some detail? thnks rm IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Offhand I would guess that it needs a "doNotExpandFirst" but could you please email the Sound to us so I can tell for certain? What result are you aiming for? It could be that there is an alternative way of accomplishing the same result without using a ParameterTransformer. Thanks! IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() i posted a reply with a detailed explanation but its not showing up. I also attempted to attach the sound file which is a kyma x file and the kyma forum browser tells me it is an illegal file. ![]() the problem with the prototype is in this statement snd frequency nn - (3 * (time / totalDuration) nn) . is totalduration a valid variable anymore and if so the the problem must be due to having A) all of the sample files using the same sample and thus the same duration or B) due to the mixer file that is the immediate input to the parameter tranform prototype. and it is looking for totalduration from it. thanks r IP: Logged |
