Any one here interested in trading what you have created? I think it is very important to share Kyma's capabilities and discoveries... if any one is serious about trading... please email me at:

BH-- Try changing your preferences to show the last year's worth of posts (by clicking on the Preferences link and choosing the length of time form the menu). Then go to the Kyma Sound Exchange forum and enjoy!

i agree,.. i find it hard to believe that the 100 or so kyma sounds posted in the sound exchange forum are the only sounds users have ever created....

or, more specifically, i would like to hear sounds of users who create a similar kind of music as i do... (minimal, "microsound" as some people like to call it...)

i'd be very happy to share my sounds.. although, i must admit that the majority of them are edited versions of presets.. as i am quite a new user...

As a VERY new user (maybe only 12-15 hours of Kyma-time so far, all told), I don't yet have any patch creations to share, but I'm certainly interested in more exchanges of info and discoveries between users, especially new users who, perhaps, can more efficiently grope towards the light together than in isolation. SS tech support and patience with newby queries is certainly great--unparalleled, in fact!--but I'd also love to get together with other beginners to knock around ideas and confusions, in whatever way can be arranged.

My immediate goals for Kyma are in signal processing; I want to see how far I can get building the customized multi-effects devices I've been inspired to want by my frustrations with all the off-the-shelf rack devices I've ever had. I'm as curious about interfaces as in actual processing algorithms; like how to build graphic routing matrices and automate them, how to make modulators that know things like how long the loop I just recorded is, how to create graphical interfaces for parameter control, like maybe a grid with clickable squares for exploring multi-tap delay rhythms...I wonder if I can learn to make Kyma do my bidding faster than something like Reaktor (or Reason) can develop into exactly what I want.
So, in short, can I please see what everybody else is doing? I promise I'll show you anything I come up with, if I ever figure out how to do it!

As to Kyma sounds for sale, there's Dennis Leas' very cool Looper Construction Kit, at greenteasoftware.com. Anybody else?
Anybody doing Kyma development or consulting for hire?

Hi sm!

There is another Forum - 'Kyma Sound Exchange' here, why not put your custom sounds there? That way, Kyma users continue to have a central repository for sounds that we want to share with other users.

Andrew

P.S. StuffIt archives are Windows compatible - there is a 'StuffIt Expander' for PCs too.
