Hi

I am trying to use my Linnstrument connected USB to my computer with the latest Kyma software version and Kyma connect. [ first time using the Linnstrument with Kyma but have used my Ipad and Continuum with no problem ]

In Kyma Connect I select "Linnstrument midi" on port one, press the "run" button and it reads "port unavailable". When this happens Linnstrument is no longer a selectable option. Not sure why this isn't working.

Please let me know if this is a problem you can help troubleshoot.

Thanks

Hi Nathan,

Couple of things to try:

LinnStrument>Global Settings>MIDI IO> Select USB

Another thing is to try connecting LinnStrument USB to the USB port on the back of the Pacarana.

Let us know how it goes.

Hi

Under Global settings I have the Linnstrument set to USB,

I just tried connecting it to the USB port on the back of Paca. It doesn't seem to recognize it but it does power it.

Also, maybe worth mention is that when I try to use Kyma Connect, the Linnstrument is no longer recognized. I am running my daw on the same computer and the daw needs to be restarted to see the Linnstrument.

Do you have LinnStrument selected in the DSP Status window as your MIDI Input device?
(You might have to Rescan in the DSP Status)

I now have Linnstrument selected in the DSP window.
It recognizesthe Linnstrument but pitch bend isnt working. Also pressing one note repeatedly gives occasional random notes.
I am using Linnstrument firmware 1.2.0
It is not the latest firmware but I didn't see anything in the newer release notes about compatibility.

Updated Linnstrument
It works plugged directly into the back of the Paca USB now. Thank you.
Still has the same behavior when using Kyma Connect.
