![]() ![]() ![]() Hi, I have a guy I know that is interested in Kyma and has some questions that as a confused beginner I cannot answer, maybe someone can help me out: 1. Is it a per sample iterated or a block iterated system? 2. How does it handle feedback (also relates to the previous question)?

![]() ![]() ![]() >>>1. Is it a per sample iterated or a block iterated system? Per sample (i.e., the entire signal flow graph is evaluated once per sample) >>>2. How does it handle feedback (also relates to the previous question)? Write to memory at the "origin" and read from that memory at the feedback "destination". IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Hi, Thanks for the info. There may soon be three new Pacarana orders for from the Electro-Music.com forum members. There is a lot of interest. Would you always have to introduce a single sample delay when reading the written memory? Cheers Andy IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() >>>Would you always have to introduce a single sample delay when reading the written memory? Yes, otherwise there is a bit of a time-travel paradox (reading the memory before it has been written). Also since what you are writing into the memory depends upon the feedback which depends upon what you are writing into the memory...If you did not introduce one sample delay, you would be stuck in an infinite loop computing your next output sample.
