Author | Topic: Replaceable output? Chaining? |

![]() ![]() ![]() I'm seriously digging the speed and fluidity of browsing sounds and especially the replaceable input feature. It's especially handy if I want to interface with the Capybara over firewire while playing with sounds — just create a Sound that reads from firewire channels and use that as input. However, it seems there is no similar feature for replacing the outputs, it has to be defined in the Sound. Or is there? Also, is it possible to chain multiple sounds without building a new sound out of them? Or does one Sound define Kyma's personality exclusively? IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Kyma is fundamentally based on stereo operation although more is possible. You can send the output from the browser to other outputs by using the speaker placement option in the preferences but the browser is manly a stereo interface. When stringing sounds together you are making a new sound, but a timeline allows you to have multiple sounds routed to different outputs at the same time. You can also use the output4 and output8 modules to make a single sound output, different signals to all the outputs at the same time. hope this makes sense Pete IP: Logged |
