Is their any difference in the Osx firmware update and the os9.x version? Do I need to reflash my flame when i switch over to Osx?

You do have to update the Flame firmware in order to run Kyma X.
However, if you are already using Kyma X under OS 9, you do not have reprogram the Flame in order to begin using it under OS X.

Hello again, kyma will not open in osx 10.3.5. I am using the latest version of kyma x, all is fine when i return to os 9.2.2. I have reviewed all the known bugs and i thnk i have covered all of the reported conflicts, carbon lib, etc. I will try a reinstall of kyma tomorrow. I am using mac G4 sugle 867 1 g ram.

Details : no other program is running, the system doesn't crash, all other programs seem fine, no unusual behaviour otherwise. I select kyma from the menu bar, the icon does one little animation hop (usually icons do a couple) but never opens. I have tried opening from the kyma folder as well.

thanks

Before you reinstall, could you tell us which version of Kyma X you are using? It is possible that an early version of Kyma X would not work under 10.3.5...

Its possible that the preferences when running under OS 9 might cause problems when used under OS X.

Please try starting Kyma with the Caps Lock key down. This causes Kyma to ask if you want to use the default preferences. Click OK to use the default preferences. See if this helps.

Having the caps lock key selected has no impact, even though i have attempted to open kyma with three different methods, by selecting cmd -o , the toolbar and from dbl clicking on the icon.

The program does not seem to respond at all, as if it were not getting the instruction to open.

But it does open if you double-click on the same icon when running under OS 9?

This sounds very odd! You probably ought to try the reinstall.
