![]() ![]() ![]() I can't make KeyMappedMultisample work properly. 1-All aiff source files are in one folder that contains only those files. 2-Frequency is set to "default" 3-Mapping is OnePerHalfStep 4-range is set from 36 nn to 40 nn. Kyma plays only the first sample. Kyma X (6.05) [This message has been edited by KX (edited 07 February 2004).] IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Frequency must change in order to select a different key-mapped sample. Try using !KeyPitch in the Frequency field instead of default. If you don't want the pitch of the samples to change, check the No transposition box. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Still the range is ignored. Also, since the parameter "FREQUENCY" is explain as : "Use Default here if you want the Frequency to equal the pitch of the RECORDED SAMPLE", I expected Kyma could use the default pitch for each sample. This way, Kyma could offset the pitch by a certain amount (ex. default + !PitchBend) while preventing the user to rewright all samples headers or adding other modules. To be useful, I think the frequency parameter should work as described [This message has been edited by KX (edited 07 February 2004).] IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() "To be useful, I think the frequency parameter should work as described i.e.!KeyPitch should only tells Kyma "use sample named <xxx> at its recorded freq"." If you use !KeyPitch in the Frequency field and check the No Transposition checkbox, you will get the behavior you describe. (Thanks for pointing out the misleading comment associated with the Frequency parameter; we will change it for the next update.) ![]() ![]() ![]() If you show KeyMapped... a folder that contains a lot of files (50+) you will first see kyma loading for ever then a "spinning beachball" (OSX) that will not stop. any hints to feed it a lot of files and have it not crash. Even when I set it to "From Disk" it tells me that the cappy is running out of sample ram... frank. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Frank, If you have the time, please burn a CD-ROM with the samples and the example that has this behavior and send it to us. We are eager to correct this behavior. Thanks! P.S. Playing from disk does use RAM (for playback buffers), about 48k samples of RAM per disk file. This gives an upper limit of about 170 files. IP: Logged |
