Kyma has suddenly stopped working for me! I've just reorganized my studio and put the Capybara into the room next door (found a 22 ft SCSI cable that fits the back of the Capybara just fine). Now when I start up Kyma it sometimes says "Turn on or connect your <Unknown>"! Sometimes it loads ok, but then it spontaneously decides to reload right in the middle of a session. Any suggestions as to what might be going wrong?

Kyma version 5.06
P3 733 MHz
128 MB
Win 98

Thanks!

The problem is the substitute cable. We use a special, low-capacitance, well-shielded cable to support the high speed data transfers between the host computer and the Capy. If you restore your original cable, it should clear up all the problems. (If you want to keep the Capy in another room, you might consider putting your PC in the other room along with the Capybara and running a KVM (keyboard video mouse) cable into the studio.
