![]() ![]() ![]() One thing that I've noticed since installing K.5 is that the amount of Capy RAM being used has increased by ~75% (this is on a basic 4DSP Capy, the status indicator next to the 'Recycle' button is orange). This may be observed before opening/compiling/loading any sounds. Does this mean that K.5 takes up more Capy RAM? IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Umm, I think that's the amount of RAM used on the host computer, not the Capy. So I think it means that the Kyma Smalltalk image file is larger. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() I just went through this RAM thing on a Capy 66 with 8 cards. The Recycle memory is referring to the memory on the computer, in my case a G4. Too many files in the Sound Browser is causing the Recycle indicator to be in or near the red. Close the Sound Browser and Recycle memory, it should go down, then reopen the Sound Browser and configure it so that there are less open files in the browser. This should fix the problem.
