![]() ![]() ![]() Hi Eliam, Would you be using it primarily in the studio for sound design? Or do you plan to use it in live musical performances? For musical performances, it can be more dramatic to use one of the larger tablets or one of the ones with a display built into it (a Cintiq). In the studio, though, a smaller one takes up less desk space and your arm won't get tired from making large dramatic gestures all day.;-) IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Hi Eliam, In any case, I would recommend you base your choice on a Intuos model (or Cintiq since they have the same sensor). It is much more precise and smooth.

![]() ![]() ![]() Thank you for your help, I'll be mainly using it for sound design in the studio. Thanks, Eilam IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() I was wondering the same thing, thanks for the information. Does any size work with Kyma, or will any Wacom tablet be compatible? It sounds like the smaller size might work better actually, what size are most people using in the studio? I'm looking to buy one fairly soon too. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() I like the smallest Intuos in that it fits easily on a desk next to the computer keyboard. When using it as a mouse, the usable area can feel a little small. So most of the time I use the next size larger (6 X 8) which takes up more space but is about the right size for mousing. (Wacom has just come out with the Intuos4. We plan to test that one and report on it soon). IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() looking forward to the intuos4 reports! i have had a graphire3 for ages and wanted to upgrade to a nicer tablet. i use it for both sound design and mousing, so something a little more precise with better feel would be great. - dc IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() I'm very interested in the Intuos4 now as well, as I was already in the market for a Wacom of some sort. I assumed as it's a new model it would be prohibitively expensive, but actually they're pretty good value, based on Ebay prices I've just seen. I'd go for the "medium" size, based on what's been said here, that seems optimal. Looking forward to the reports as well! IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Just to confirm: Yes, the new Intuos4 is working with Kyma! http://intuos.wacom.com/ (We are not displaying any labels on it yet, but you can do things like press the Option key right on the tablet which is pretty convenient!) IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Does the Intuos 4 pickup names from Kyma? If it did this would be one push not to go for the smallest one.... Eilam - I lost your number..... Give us a shout chap..... Thanks Charlie IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() quote: Sadly, no (there would not be any place to display across the top of the tablet, if that is what you meant). (The closest thing would be the Delora vM2 which automatically displays the labels and the fader positions. Or a MotorMix if you can find one). IP: Logged |
