![]() ![]() ![]() Is there a Kyma sound for granular time-stretching, not via resynthesis, but by repeating grains, as in Metasynth/Ableton Live? I'm amazed by the results of analysis/resynthesis in Kyma, particularly the ability to 'freeze' a sound - but I also quite like some of the artifacts that standard granular time-stretching can produce, especially when driven to extremes. ![]() ![]() ![]() Take a look at the TimeFrequencyScaler and the SampleCloud. For example, in the TimeIndex field of the SampleCloud, if you use: 1 repeatingFullRamp: ('alien threat.aif' sampleFileDuration * !TScale) (replacing 'alien threat.aif' with the name of your own sample), you can get a looping sample effect and adjust the grain duration, jitter, etc You might also find some useful examples in the Sound Browser under Kyma Sound Library/Effects Processing/Frequency & Time Scaling/timescaling.kym IP: Logged |
