is it possible to allocate parameteres from the vcs to faders and knobs of the motor mix manually? sometimes the automatic allocation is more confusing than helpful (*sometimes*!).
for example i have 8 faders allocated automatically, which is great, and then need a button which should ergonomically be placed on top of fader 7 because of function. it´s hardly possible. i once had to put in 6 dummy-buttons to move the button i need on position 7.
or for example keeping a soundtoglobalcontrol (like the phase meter) away from the motormix.
in my current programming i´d like to put only a selection of parameters(the most used) on the motormix without destroying an ergonomic vcs-layout.
i´d like to suggest an allocation menu with learn function inside the vcs-editor. menu choices would be automatic (default), no allocation or manual. after selecting manual a pop-up window shows up asking to move a controller on the motor-mix. this controller is then hard allocated to the parameter.

am i the only one with that wish?

Hi Mathis,
Sorry, should have jumped in with a solid "me too!"
This would be very helpful to have.
Mind you, there are other things I'd like better, or
at least sooner ;-) (Ability to record midi notes in
the timeline top of the list.)
But configurable allocation on the motor mix would be
great.

cheers,
Bill
