I got quite hooked by treating video signals. Is anybody aware of a "Kyma for Video"?

I don't (yet) work with video, but I do know of Max Jitter. I could also put you in contact with a friend who has been working on an audio-visual synth for the last few years and is now coming up with some impressive work....

Jitter is pretty much the kyma of video. http://www.cycling74.com/products/jitter.html

the demo is fully functional for 30 days and includes plenty of examples to get a feel for it. some additional objects/patches here: http://2uptech.com/archive.html
randy (2uptech.com) is one of the developers of jitter along with joshua (who's cat, Jit, is the mascot.)
