Hi everyone

I have just started using a Behringer FCC1010 as a foot controller - I alos use the Motormix when in the studio, and the Wacom, but when i go out to perform, I just take the foot controller and the Wacom - so, I don't want to use Midi Channel 1 as it would interfear with the Motormix when in the studio, but I want to use Kyma's MIDI learn function when programming the foot controller.

So, I have a CapyTalk script
(0.125 s randExp) nn + (!cc126 * !LogFreq)

where !cc126 was found using the MIDI learn function - but this controller is on MIDI channel 15 (it is a foot pedal), and I have another on MIDI channel 16. Is it possible to just state the MIDI channel here as well or do I have to get into the MidiMapper or Global Map sound to set that up for each input? If I do this would slow things down considerably when programming, which would be a bit of a drag. Advice joyously received

Cheers and Happy 2006 - Garth

You could give the controllers abstract names (like !POffset) and then use the VCS to map them to controllers on different channels. Ctrl+Click on the name of the control in the VCS and select the desired MIDI channel and number using the pop up menus. Or select "Learn" and move the fader on the desired channel.

Brilliant - thanks - I had forgotten that I could set MIDI controllers and channels in the VCS - works like a treat :-) The Behringer foot pedal board is a very useful addition to my performance setup - highly recommended.
