i'm looking or a way to layer multiple looped recordings 6 at a time, displacing the oldest one once it reaches 7. Basically, I want to create a 'history' of sounds created by a trigger. So on the first trigger sound1 is produced. on the 2nd, sound2 is produced and sound1 is playing back. sound1-6 do this sequentially. sound 7 overwrites 1, 8 overwrites 2 etc... This concept would be similar to MIDI voice allocation except we're dealing with sample playback "voices"

I'm wondering if there's an elegant solution to "overdub" without building out a huge tree of MemoryWriters and Sample playbacks?

as of now i have MemoryWriter with {{'memory' & ?VoiceNumber}} for RecordingName (assuming it will create a unique name per recording). A one sample buffered Sample is playing back the file.

I assume I need some more scripting to achieve what I want and I could use some pointers or examples to help guide me where to begin.

Thanks
