![]() ![]() ![]() Hello, iīm a pretty new Kyma user and start to spend more and more time in exploring this great and exciting sound design language. Here are some questions for that i couldnīt find a solution right now: Is it possible to record and/or store in Kyma directly the audio from the spectrum editor selected regions/boxes? How to deselect the replaceable input of a sound? Would it in future possible to erease files directly in the sound browser? Allso I realised that my Paca/Kyma looses the MIDI-connection to my M-Audio Fast Track Pro after some time (approx. 30 min using Kyma). Very best greetings from Frankfurt/Germany, IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() "Is it possible to record and/or store in Kyma directly the audio from the spectrum editor selected regions/boxes?" Hmmm, I don't think so. Pretty good suggestion, actually, something like "export selection to...." that allows to export just the selection in the spectrum editor as audio file or spectrum file would be very nice. ![]() ![]() ![]() Hi and welcome Martin ![]() ~~ If you are talking about holding shift and selecting random bits of a spectrum file in the spectrum editor and trying to caputure the sound of that you can use the copy command to copy your selection and create a new spectrum file. The selected parts will sound and the unselected parts will be muted. once you create that file, select it in the browser and select record to disk. To my knowledge there is no way of capturing output from the spectrum editor as a sample or disk track. ~~ To remove a replacable input the only way I have found is to actually delete the replacable input - so to preserve the sound's structure you can add a new (disposable) object into the structure, set that as the replacable input and then delete it. ~~ I cant speak for SSC on that one but can you clarify please, do you mean delete files (i.e. like sending them to the trash) or do you mean erase the contents of a sample, preserving the filename? Best regards, IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() To remove the halo from the replaceable input, click in the white background of the Sound editor, then from the Action menu, choose set replaceable input. Since nothing is selected, that will select nothing as the replaceableInput. IP: Logged |
