having not used kyma for a year or more I’m struggling again with some Btw, I forgot the place on the twiki where I can download the latest kyma-version (for the capybara 320). Where was it again? Many thanks in advance. Florian IP: Logged

![]() ![]() ![]() Hi Florian, I downloaded your sound to see if I could answer, perhaps you uploaded the wrong one by mistake. The sound you posted is (a quite interesting looking) control signal generator, it has no gate button or sample players. Regards Sean IP: Logged

![]() ![]() ![]() Hi Flo Haven't seen the sound you are having problems with so I'm stabbing in the dark here a bit, but some thing to look out for is that !gate sometimes starts its state as a value one, because that's what's in the current snap shot. Try clicking the gate button so that you know what state it is in, and then take a snap shot. restart the sound and see if it's any better. Another thing to take into account is that 1 is not always 1 and that the real value of gate at state one may really be 0.999999999. This wouldn't be a problem in most cases if you were using it for muting for example, but for triggering that relies on values reaching absolute zero (or negative), it can cause a problem. Try changing your formula to 0.99 - !Gate instead, and see if it works as you expect. If this does work but creates other problems because of the small minus value you can make use of clipTo01 after the formula to get rid of the negative. Alternatively you can use (!Gate asLogicValue) to make it a genuine 0 and 1. IP: Logged |
