![]() ![]() ![]() BBC radio has announced the death of Delia Derbyshire, a member of the pioneering BBC Radiophonic Workshop from the 1960s onwards. UK Kyma-ites may know her best for her original realisation of the Dr Who theme, but she contributed to such groundbreaking radio work as Barry Bermange's voice collage "The Dreams" and also worked informally with Peter Zinovieff, designer of the classic EMS VCS3. And it seems she discussed an electronic backing for "Yesterday" with Paul McCartney before the string arrangement was settled on. Now there's a fairly boggling thought... Here's to her memory.
