Hi,
i would like to prefix a whole section of a sound with a name generated from a script at startup.

I tried to use a ?variable (parameter variable) in the Id field of the prefixer and it turns out that this field just uses text and does not evaluate the variable.
It just prefixes everything with the text ?variable.
for example if i have slider/paramter named !MyHotValue i now get a ?variable!MyHotValue

Is there an other way to prefix everything left from the script?

Thanx and all the best
Chris

randomlygeneratedprefix.kym

If you use a Replicator (instead of the Prefixer), set the number of copies to 1, and set the Prefix field to ?pre, then you can set ?pre from your Script. I've attached an example where the Script generates a random number and uses that as the prefix for all controls in the Sound.

Thank you so much! I am always amazed on how many ways you can create new Instruments and sounds in Kyma.

The truth is - Kyma is amazingly amazing!
