Author | Topic: Broken Capybara Firewire interface |

![]() ![]() ![]() After a long while of not using my Capybara, it decided I would try to reinstall Kyma on my PC with updated OS (Windows 7 Ultimate). However, I couldn't do the hardware installation, because the Firewire interface was no longer functioning; apparently it died in silence at some point. The power supply is fine and the FW interface gets power; it just no longer works. I've little hope of a solution as this is ancient technology, but I thought I would bring it up anyway and get some sympathy... I only have the basic Capybara and found that it really is underpowered for a lot of things. I thought of upgrading, but it's quite an investment and my main interest has shifted away from sound and music to animated filmmaking, so I have a hard time justifying the expense. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() If you'd like us to try to fix the Flame, please send an email to info-kyma@symbolicsound.com and request an RMA. No guarantees, but we can have a look at it to see if it is fixable. Thanks. IP: Logged |
